New Stanford Engineering Library pares paper books of 80,000 to 10,000

Another E-reader can still beat the book.

Read about an e-book reader is a very different experience than reading from the printed page. I find it hard to believe that reading from a hard copy will ever be crowned by reading from a plastic box. I do however, a number of e-books read every year, but this is primarily because the eBooks I read books that are otherwise would have been for me. So, it is to read a case of you electronically or not at all to read.

Now something I have my eBook reading felt in this PC Magazine article confirmed was: it takes longer to read a page on an e-book reader as to the same printed page read.In my case, I find myself having to whole sentences, if not paragraphs, read again, because my mind tends to hiking if I use my Sony Reader am; I a bad problem with glare and I more easily distracted somehow to sein.Auch which has Sony Reader struggle for the right angle sometimes seem, find to keep the thing.

Best 2010 update 22

So, after due consideration, this is what the fiction list looks as read after 52 fiction books:

PDF challengers from China - Apabi technology's CEBX

Apabi technology, is a major player in the Chinese (Mainland)- going challenge to Adobe PDF eBook market. According to information week Apabi already has contracts with 500 Chinese publishers and provides technologies for electronic publishing and electronic libraries and sells ebook readers.

Its new CEBX technology stands for common document blending XML. The company says a CEBX file can store document data and is fully compatible with PDF but technically superior. Currently there are three software packages to work with CEBX format. Apabi reader is a home-grown equivalent of Adobe Reader, and it only allows users to view documents without all the editing tools.Apabi maker is a tool to convert other formats while Apabi carbon full CEBX editing suite required.the company says it has applications in development for Windows Mobile and Android iOS (iPhone, iPod touch and iPad) CEBX.

The article says that the company already has more than 700 newspapers and magazines willing to work with the platform and the Chinese Government expects to adopt the platform as well.
