Cooperation between libraries, users, and usability experts is a priority in the development of the virtual collections in the future. Only users can say how these go platforms used as mobile tools for study or entertainment devices.It becomes important to know how usable the s collections really are and what essential materials are currently not with these devices kompatibel.Elektronische should rights management and technical compatibility issues standard considerations in all acquisition of electronic materials.
This paper is a study which now submit part of Aalto University from autumn 2009 summer 2010 University of Helsinki of technology library. In cooperation with the strategic usability research group are different e-book reader by both professionals and students tested.In the study e-book reader to students were provided the course material for a study period with all in electronic format.Feedback from the students was through discussions, study diaries and questionnaires were tested the e-book reader gesammelt.In of the library to see what requirements and restrictions, you represent to e materials and how well usable sind.Ergebnisse interpret the library of the current s collections on these devices compatible with many licensed e materials, while most open access materials can be easily downloaded and used.
Note: The five e-book reader were evaluated in the study.
