Non profit poetry Publisher sets chapbooks online with Flash

Publishing perspectives - reports on a non profit poetry Publisher, ugly duckling - press, who wanted to try e-books, but complete books were not comfortable with the idea of making available for download. Instead are on gone with Issuu, a Flash-based platform, the books only ugly duckling's website provides in its entirety.

For now you are using it for chapbooks rather than to stay in novels as the chapbooks are shorter and more sold out as soon as available supplies used books too few views (approx. 100-150 per month) are always relative, but since you originally in editions of 400-500 copies published, soon add these views to more Internet reads as print copies sold.

The article lists some of the disadvantages a Flash-based format, including the fact that it can be read on Apple mobile devices like the iPhone or iPad.(I would like to point out that it on most e-book can be read reading devices, either to leave to the downloaded content.)Also performs the search on certain content on ugly duckling press itself, but on the Issuu site where Issuu content is indexed.
