Latest Facebook privacy violation - is now broadcasting talks by publishing the content of recent activity

There was a time when your "current activity" disable one of your Facebook account or privacy settings, in the news feed or on your wall appear allowed. This went away sometime last year (profile update 10102029309808098, I think). Facebook completely removes the option to hide your recent activities and you now saw was something like "Bobbi Newman to John Doe's wall wrote" instead, I and many other people were disturbed by this. I need not Facebook all informed my friends each time, when I speak one of you. Some people only with the feed, like me, work others learned that all these activities deleted if back to a computer get.

Last week Facebook launched its latest and greatest profile update rollout. At first I was only bothered with it. Why is my job, education, current city, hometown and long eye front and Center on my profile. Already know that my friends? It felt really like an another push of Facebook to be The One Site. It bothered me because I know many new people Facebook every day, people use who do not understand Facebook's privacy settings, the agenda and the policies.  They are not looking to present their work you are looking to connect with friends and family, and Facebook is pushing them to use the website professionally. This evening I noticed something new instead of saying "Bobbi Newman to John Doe's wall wrote" it actually tells you exactly what I wrote. Even if you not friends with John Doe. Even if their account is private.

I know there are people who say be if you don't want that it did not see it post. Whatever. You are missing the point. The point is-, the while have this conversation in a semi-public ball there can no indication that I wanted this conversation aired is taken place. (I could argue that if my friends page is private and locked, this was a private conversation, but let's just call it quasi-private because it happened on Facebook)

We seem to be in the same problem with Facebook's privacy settings do over and over. There is a huge difference in something publicly available, and it is published.

Think of it this way, you and I in a coffee shop, sitting after talking at a table. This is a public place, so that our conversation in a public place is happening, but it's only us and quiet conversation, so we are we have an assumption of the degree of privacy. Now the man next to us on his laptop with his headphones on could be heard but chances are, it is not. During this conversation public it is not just broadcast or recorded.

Now imagine, we sit in the same coffee shop in the same scenario and not only monitored the guy at the table next to us, but he is our conversation record and send it to people in the coffee shop and people on the street.

The first scenario accurately reflects how people Facebook deal talks, we know we are in the public but we assume (true or false), that no one listen to or record. What is easy to do because so much outside the page within a few days and you forget it ever happened despite past experience on Facebook.  What makes Facebook in this latest update is the future scenario.

Worse still, they are given no choice. I know it has much controversy of some changing Facebook's privacy in the past few years, but in most cases you could modify your preferences to change these problems. In this case you cannot. Facebook is broadcasting all your conversations.

What really kills me is I was looking for stories on this problem and I can't find any. Nobody seems to care. Maybe we are so used to the injured from Facebook, we once again not notice.

Attributor finds most Web sites, the piracy newspaper there will be content if asked to remove
